FBI Charges Mom Who Is Still Missing With Daughter:
The FBI has now filed abduction charges against Tammy Kongham. She’s the woman who abducted her daughters from their school in Philadelphia then took them to live on the streets in Fort Lauderdale. The children were in the custody of a foster home. Kongham is said to be mentally ill.
As I posted before police found her 10-year-old daughter wandering in a mall because Kongham sent her away saying it would be easier for the cops to find her if they were together. Then why bother abducting her in the first place?
Kongham is still on the run with her 8-year-old daughter. Both have allegedly cut their hair short. The pictures show Kongham with her hair at both lengths. Police say that they’ve also worn disguises.
The FBI said that anyone assisting Korgham could also face prosecution.

A Not-So-Safe Haven:
I wonder how long it took them to come up with that headline.
Anyway, this is an article from Newsweek about what’s happened in Nebraska since they changed their safe haven law to only include children up to 30 days old.
I’d like you to read the article and offer your opinion. Are some of these mothers too quick to in depending on the government to help them out or do they have legitimate concerns?
Thanks to Stormey for the tip.

Boise couple arrested after child found in cold, feces-covered home:
Ok, look people. I’m not expecting everyone to have a house so clean it would make June Cleaver jealous. But is it so much to ask to pick up the crap off the floor? And I literally mean crap.
It seems it was too much to ask for 24-year-olds Marijean K. Stewart, and Zachary J. Smith of Boise, Idaho. They were both charged with felony injury to a child after finding Stewart’s 3-year-old son sleeping in a bedroom that was 50 degrees in only a diaper that wasn’t what you would call dry. The only heat in their home was from an open oven. Yeah, that’s real safe when you have kids around. And the kid was sleeping near a pile of crap that did not belong to an animal. Well, that depends on your definition of animal. According to police that was not the only pile of crap in the house. And again, that depends on your definition of ‘pile of crap’.
The 3-year-old was placed in the custody of the state Health & Welfare Dept. At least he’ll have a warm place to sleep.
Thanks to Mallory for the tip.

Police Search For Mother, Sister Of Girl Found:
Police in Fort Lauderdale are searching for Tammy Kongham. She abducted her two daughters from their Philadelphia school and took them to Florida. Her 10-year-old daughter had been found wandering through a local mall. She told authorities that her, her mother and her 8-year-old sister had been living in a sand pit underneath a playground for two weeks.
Tammy Kongham is said to be mentally ill and did not have custody of her kids.
She allegedly sent the 10-year-old away so she wouldn’t be caught by police.
Thanks to LadyJade for the tip.

Life in prison for Phoenix’s killers:
The birth organism of Phoenix Sinclair and the organism’s boyfriend have been sentenced in Phoenix’s death. To refresh your memory about Phoenix’s horrible death you can go here. I don’t have the stomach to retype it.
Anyway, Samantha Kematch and Karl Wesley McKay were not only convicted of Phoenix’s death but both were also given life sentences with the possibility of parole in 25 years. Would a judge actually want to be know as the judge that paroled Phoenix’s killers?
Thanks to Nadia for the tip.

Mom Smothered Baby, Police Say:
30-year-old Elizabeth Ortiz of Phoenix, Arizona was arrested in the smothering death of her 7-month-old son. She allegedly fell asleep on the couch and smothered her baby. She called 911 and as rescue workers tried to revive the baby she fled the scene.
She did return however and told investigators that she was a drug user. Police say that the drug use may have contributed to the baby’s death.
Just like I think there should be a written test to be able to become a parent there should also be a drug test as well.
If you have kids STOP DOING DRUGS. If you can’t stop doing drugs give your kids up for adoption so they can at least have half a chance.

Cops searched Gonzalez’ home after confession:
Just a quick update on the story of Giovanni Gonzalez.
His father, Ernesto Gonzalez, has pleaded not guilty to the latest charges against him of charges of parental kidnapping and willfully misleading police in the disappearance of his son.
And while police are remaining tight-lipped about the November 28th search after Gonzlalez ‘confessed’ to the Boston Globe a neighbor of Gonzlalez’s said that police searched Gonzalez’s house again. The neighbor said that heard police sawing in the bathroom.

Adopted father of deceased Cass County teen arrested:
I could have sworn I posted this story before but I guessed it slipped my mind.
Anyway, the story is about a Cass County, TX adopted teen who was alleged to have been killed by his adopted mother Cynthia Hudson. She was arrested for his death. Now the adopted father of 13-year-old Samuel Hudson has also been arrested.
Police in Queen City, Texas have arrested William Hudson for tampering with evidence.
The police originally thought that William’s death was a suicide but their investigation led them to believe that William was killed by his adopted mother. Could the tampering charge have come from the Hudsons trying to stage the crime scene?
It also turns out that the Hudsons may have been just another couple that were in it for the money.
The other adopted children in the house have allegedly told police that they were deprived food and abused as well.
Thanks again to Lori for keeping me abreast of the situation.
UPDATE: Just seconds after I finished writing this post Lori sent me yet another article on the situation. Now not only are police saying that Samuel Hudson was restrained and beaten to death but they are seeking the death penalty against Cynthia Hudson. I can’t say she doesn’t deserve it.

Police: Paranoid Mom Hid Kids In Meth Homes:
Blanche Brown of Denver, CO was wanted on outstanding warrants of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, providing marijuana to a child and child neglect. So she did what any rational thinking mother would do. She took her 15-year-old and 1-year-old daughters from meth house to meth house avoiding police for as long as she could.
Police say…
…Brown was “very paranoid and taking extreme measures to avoid law enforcement,” while hiding her two children.
Meth tends to make people like that.
The kids are said to be ok.

Mom not home, gas burners left on as fire kills 18-month-old twins:
A woman in Houston turned on two gas burners in her house then left leaving her 18-month-old twins home alone. Since you’re reading this here you can guess what happened.
While she was out the house caught fire claiming the lives of the twins.
Police have released her after questioning and have not yet charged her with a crime?
My question to you dear reader is this. Was this intentional or just idiotic? Either way shouldn’t she be charged?
Thanks to Eliza for the tip.
