Mom drinks, dad stinks
The father went to pickup his wife at a bar, though she refused to leave.
Frustrated, he went out with a friend to drinking as well, leaving their 4 kids at home alone.
Their four kids, ages 1, 3, 3 and 4 were left home alone for 10 hours with no food or supervision.
Two of the kids were spotted walking along the highway by a good samaritan. He called the police and stayed with the boys until the police arrived.
The father is now facing charges of child abuse. The mother is not being charged since she was unaware the children were left home alone. The kids are with Child Protective Services.

They’re both horrible parents and deserve the kids to be taken away from them. The father for knowingly leaving them alone and the mother for going out drinking when she has 4 babies - yes babies sitting at home in a fility house with no food. Clearly her children are not her priority and nor are they his.

I couldn’t agree more, HesMySonShine. When you become a parent, you give up the privelege of going out drinking with your buddies/girlfriends. That’s because you’ve been given an even greater gift than the freedom to have fun - a precious child.
Dad might be the one who left them alone, but Mom shouldn’t have been out bar-hopping, either. For that matter, food doesn’t disappear from a house and a home doesn’t become “filthy” in just 10 hours without Mom around. These kids have been going hungry and living in filth for a long time, from the looks of it.
I hope both parents rot in jail and neither see those babies ever again.

Well my kids could mess up the house in less than 10 mn, but I see your point Ihavekidstoo.

I agree that they both are irresponsible. The mom is irresponsible for keeping a sloppy house, for staying out too late to be there for her family, for not questioning who was watching the kids. She seems to not know how to drink responsibly.
I take objection to the notion that when you become a parent, you lose the privilege of going out drinking with buddies, though. It is very possible to do this responsibly. You have to modify your social life quite a bit when you become a parent, but you don’t have to completely give up all prior activities altogether, and that includes drinking. Just thought I’d mention that.

For God’ sake, if you are going to go out, get someone to watch the kids. This is insane that anyone would leave four small children to fend for themselves for hours. The filth and lack of food is indicative that prior neglect has occurred, it is just cathing up to these so called parents now that police are involved.
Maybe this is a blessing for these poor kids (their removal from parents) who don’t rank high on their parent’s list of concerns. Who leaves four children under 4 home alone for hours?? Insanity!

I’ve gone out twice in the 3 and half years I have been a mother. Both times I left a clean house and clean kids, only to come home to a disaster area that looked like I hadn’t picked up in three days. Granted, I had done my sweeping, dusting, mopping (?), and vaccuming earlier that day so it didn’t qualify as filthy, but there was toys, food, garbage like paper towels and baby wipes, and leaves and dirt and sticks from walking the dog. It was bad enough that my DD whom had seen it when she picked me up, stayed to help clean it again. So, I’m not going to read too much into that, and he could have been going out every night for months and it could have been her first time out in a while. When he tried to cut it short, she could have been sick of the crap and said no. But my theory that she is a half decent mother totaly falls apart when you think about why CPS didn’t just turn her children back over to her. If she wasn’t in the bar every night with her husband, wouldn’t they have turned over custody by now?11

Justme, I agree that it’s possible to responsibly have a night out when you have kids. But that’s not what happened in this case, by any stretch of the imagination. These people left their children for 10 hours! I’m sure when you go out with friends - like me - you are gone for just a few hours.
I guess what I should have said was you give up the privelege of 10-hour drinking binges. You’re right that responsible parents still are able to enjoy a reasonable night out.

When ‘daddy’ decided to go look for the ‘wife’ why didn’t he take the kids with him or better yet, get the uncle to watch the those sweet innocents? I pray that DFS finds loving homes for these little ones.10 hours!! ,alone is an unbelievable time for children , I bet they thought that mom and dad left forever.

Only stupid idiot parents would leave their kids home for a long time! I hope those so-called parents die in prison!

I don’t leave my kids in the car, while running into 7-11 to get coffee, let alone leaving them at home alone. These two should not get their children back.
