Crystal Rios Pleads Guilty to Child Abuse After Toddler Found Wandering in Snow
In Aztec, New Mexico, Crystal Rios, 22, plead guilty to child abuse. She was arrested earlier this year after her two-year-old son was found wandering in the snow wearing only just his diaper.
When police showed up they found that the boy and his eight-month-old sister had bite marks and bruises on their bodies. One of the children also had an untreated broken arm.
Rios faces up to three years in prison on the third-degree child abuse charge. It was also determined that she was not directly responsible for the injuries, but allowed them to happen. It is believed that Rios’s then-boyfriend, Francisco Romero, 21, bit the children. He is facing up to six years in prison for abusing her kids.
Rios’s children are being cared for by their grandparents in California.
I hope that Rios uses this incident to turn her life around so she can get her kids back. And I hope that scumbag boyfriend gets the max.

Hellcat, nothing towards you personally. Don’t take it that way. All I meant was that almost always when you read about stories such as this, the so called parent is 25 or under. Start noticing and you will see what I mean. Hell, I’m glad that you’re a good parent. I wish that more young people were good parents that had children. I’m just tired of hearing over and over again that some young girl picks a man or a drug (or both) before her children and most of the time, they weren’t ready for kids in the first place. Like I said, I didn’t mean anything towards you personally.
I know a girl who is just like what I am talking about. I have talked about her before on here. She’s my best friend’s daughter. Her name is Crystal. She is 21. I would not be surprised if I see her name on this site one day. I have called DSS many times. They are completely useless here. They did nothing either time. Those kids are so horribly neglected. It’s just sad.
You just keep being a good parent.

Rockdoll_71, I’m sorry about your best friend’s daughter as well as DSS. That makes me so mad when DSS wouldn’t take any of her children away from her although I’m delighted to learn that the kids are now living with their grandparents in California. I wouldn’t want her anywhere near me nor my nieces! Well, I hope you’re not offended. Take care!

Thanks sfdude. Yeah, DSS has been called numerous times about her. I don’t think they will do anything until one of those boys get hurt bad. They just suck here.
