Parents Behaving Badly

Christian A. Jimenez-Colon Charged with Abusing Girlfriend’s Son

by Former Blogger on March 16th, 2008

In Cape Coral, Florida, Christian A. Jimenez-Colon, 19, was charged with abusing his fiancee’s 14-month-old child, Christian Merly, the son of Jovan Santana.Jimenez-Colon was babysitting Christian, who was sick. When he started throwing up, Jimenez-Colon, held the child against the toilet and began hitting the child’s back with an open hand HARD to “help” him. He then grabbed the child’s throat and pinched his windpipe to “help the child vomit” some more. Then Jimenez-Colon placed the crying child over the railing of his crib and leaned his full weight into him until he stopped breathing.

Huh? Yes, beating a child will stop him from puking…not!

According to police, Santana took Christian to the hospital because he was sick. Luckily, the hospital asked that Christian come back because blood test results indicated a more serious problem. When Santana brought him back in, medical staff observed bruising on Christian’s body that his mom could not explain. The doctors believed that Christian had been struck multiple times and was suffering from blunt force trauma. They reported the abuse to police, and performed emergency surgery on the boy. Christian is in critical but stable condition at the hospital.

Jimenez-Colon told police that he “may” have been too rough with the toddler because he was worried about his financial problems. He said that he didn’t tell Christian’s mom because he thought she’d break up with him. (Duh!)

Custody of Christian has been taken away from his mother. Also, she’s pregnant with Jimenez-Colon’s child.

HE thought the boy’s mom would leave him? She’d be one of the few women in these situations who actually DO leave the P.O.S. who abuses their child. Me leaving would be the LEAST of his worries if I was this baby’s mother. He would never have a peaceful night’s rest again.

My, my, my…. I’m sure this wasn’t the first time he abused this poor child. Stupid ass. Why do women grab at any penis that shows them a little attention. Their children aren’t important when they are blinded by penis… DUH!!

I’m going to take some heat for saying this, I’m sure, but here it is: the average 19-year-old American male is NOT father or youth counselor material. They simply don’t have the maturity or life experience to know how to handle such grown up issues as “money problems” - which is what this P.O.S. is saying he was angry about when he abused his baby - or sick crying babies.

Well…. that 19-year-old american BOY (not man) is old enough to know between right and wrong!!!! That is no excuse for anyone to hurt a baby!!!! I know some 18,19 and 20 year-old father’s who take GREAT care of their children!!!! MONEY PROBLEMS????? I have money problems and i dont beat my son!!!!! You are right on one thing though…. he is a POS!!!!! There is NO excuse for putting your hands on a child!!! None what so ever!!!!! Some people might not be mature enough or have the life experience to take care of a child but they damn well know right from wrong!!! Didnt we all learn that in kindergarten?

That animal is where he belongs, in jail. I’m happy that the judge didn’t give a chance to make bail.

I dont think age is the problem. The problem is the type of people who do this are selfish! Their life revolves around themselves.

Ok taxpayers - dig a little deeper. We are going to pay to keep this POS in accomdations way better than we give our troops. Then we are going to take better care of his child than many poor working class can do for theirs and we are going to give the sperm incubator a tax break at best. If he’s 19, I do not think that she’s 28 with a career underway, so dig deeper to pay for her housing as well!
Given that our court system will release him, he shoukd be neutered, but who cares about the rights of the children he’ll make and put thru hell, we would infringe on his rights should we neuter him!
