Byron Lagoy Arrested for Seriously Injuring Seven-Week-Old Daughter
In Plattsburgh, NY, Bryon Lagoy, 23, was arrested for abusing his infant daughter, Jasmine Lagoy, while caring for her. The child suffered suffered multiple fractures and trauma.
Jasmine was released from the hospital where she was initially listed in critical condition. The baby is now in the protective custody of the Department of Social Services. Jasmine’s mother, Heather Bouyea, has not been charged with any crime. Still you wonder why authorities did not give her back her baby.
Lagoy is behind bars and unable to post $10,000 cash bail. He will be facing a felony charge of second-degree assault, which accuses him of knowingly and recklessly causing physical injury to the young child.
Why does this story remind me of the case of Jason Midyette, whose mother was just found guilty of child abuse resulting in death - and whose father will soon go to trial. At least in little Jasmine’s case, the baby made it to the hosptial in time, thank god.

I just don’t understand how a father can do this to their own child!!!!!!! It just really bothers me! That poor baby, I hope she finds a good home with parents that love her, every child deserves to be loved, no child deseves to feel the pain that this little girl or any child has felt on this site. It really brakes my heart! It kind of makes you wonder if the mother had something to do with it or knew about it seeing as they didn’t release the baby in her custody. Another Woman who put her boyfriend before her child! It truly makes me sick to my stomach.

Look at this dude! Can you imaginw hat his angry “I don’t care; f*ck you” face looks like? *shudders in horror* Poor baby must’ve been terrorized! Babies are extremely helpless and they need a lot of loving care and a lot of protection! I hope the poor baby finds a foster home that will love and take good care of her. That asshole doesn’t deserve the chance to procreate ever again anymore! If you don’t want any kids, either give it up for adoption or just keep your damn legs closed! He should’ve been sterilized for good, so he wouldn’t have anymore kids! I just hope to God that poor baby doesn’t see that monster ever again!

I pray this little one finds a loving home that will adopt her.
I would love to know what is involved that they will not allow the “Mom” have custody. I thought it may be because of him but if he is in jail and unable to bond out there has to be more to it than that.
Though I have to wonder what Mother would continue to be involved with a man who done this to their child. Yet after reading the constant news reports of how many allow this stuff to happen and then stick with the guys it is just mind-blowing to me.
I hope this asshat gets all they can give him.

You know…birth control is everywhere. It’s really easy. It’s no big secret as to how babies are made. If these morons don’t want children, why the hell don’t they use some common sense and get some BIRTH CONTROL? Even if you can’t afford it, most places have free clinics.

April and Rockdoll, I totally agree. I am old fashioned in my thinking a lot of times but you know, early 20’s, not married, getting pregnant=trouble. I am not saying that being a combo of these things won’t make good parents because there are a lot of good people out there that fit in that catagory. But, the odds are against you. I mean, a lot of these stories are the same types of people, unmarried, young. If you are adult enough to have sex then deal with the consequences.

Pak67, I say that all of the time. Almost always these horrific stories have a mother or father (or both) who is under the age of 25. I know not ALL people who are young are bad parents but many times, they are. You are 100% right. They want to play an adult game. They think they are ready but they aren’t.

This is just my opinion but I think parenting classes should be given in high school and should be a requirement in order to graduate and not just a semester but for an entire year. But like I said thats just my opinion.

Actually Parenting classes would not be bad in high school. I think that an even better idea would be to offer classes in Jr High that cover self image acceptance dealing with communication and anger. I sit and listen to some of the kids now days and few know how to properly express themselves or handle their feelings. Without that all the parenting classes in the world will not help.
