Parents Ramsay and Pollok Indicted on Child Abuse Charges for Shaking One-Month-Old Baby
In Arizona, Brian David Ramsay, 34, and Louise Lisa Pollok, 33 were indicted for abusing their newborn son Austin. Their baby was taken to Phoenix Children’s Hospital with head injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome. Austin has since been placed in foster care.
Odd thing was this happened back in early 2004. (Maybe that’s a typo?) Even if it did happen in early 2006, Ramsay and Pollok weren’t arrested until September 2006, many months later. The indictment wasn’t returned until July 18, 2007 - almost a year after that. Finally, the indictment wasn’t made public until October 2007.
Geez, the wheels of justice turn slowly, but this is ridiculous!
Here’s what happened: following their arrest, Ramsay and Pollok were indicted for child abuse, but a judge then tossed out the charges. He said the defendants were denied justice.
Huh? It sounds to me like the prosecutors mucked up a pretty straight forward case since the judge declared that they failed to make a full and fair presentation of the evidence. So back to the grand jury they went. (Wonder how much this is costing Arizona’s taxpayers?)
Ramsay and Pollok have pleaded not guilty and are free pending the outcome of the case. They return to court in November. Let’s hope we see some swift justice for Austin.

Look at that woman! Can you imagine what her angry face looks like? *shiver* Poor baby must have been terrified. Newborns are so helpless. These asshats don’t deserve the opportunity to procreate ever again.

This is so sad. These people can’t be so stupid that they didn’t know that if they shook their baby, they wouldn’t hurt him. They just didn’t care. Stupid, heartless people.

Oh, the “I didn’t know about shaken baby” doesn’t cut it for me when these two are in their 30’s! Please. It’s all over the internet and the media, not to mention parenting classes…if you are excited to be having a baby.
Mom and Dad are both POS! I hate it that they are free on bond right now. Makes me sick at the lack of justice for this child.

our justice system sucks ASS!!!!!!!!!! I mean why should to people like this get to post bond for what they did to that poor little baby??? They deserve to die!!!!! They dont even need to have the chance to sit in jail, so we all can pay for them to have 3 meals a day, a warm place to sleep and be able to earn privlages!!!!!!! Why would they get the chance to be free, that poor little baby HOPEFULLY doesnt have severe brain damage or any brain damage at all.
that baby needs to be in a nice safe home with people that ACTUALLY love him/her!!!!

OMFG What a bunch of cowards these 2 idiots are to hurt such a baby! To motherof1boy, I’m with you because that baby needs a safe home with poeople who REALLY care for him! I hope to God that the baby is still alive! As for Pollock, her face in the mugshot screams, “I don’t care! F**k you!” Just WTF are they thinking?!

It always amazes, me. These people waited until their 30’s to procreate, and then shake the kid half to death. It’s totally irrational.

sometimes i wonder what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? none of u seem to know any of the details of this case yet u have already convicted these two! remember know your facts before u prosicute!
