Parents Behaving Badly

Monique Anita Elliot Beat Kids with the Help of Girlfriend, Shatanna Williams - Daughter in Coma

by Former Blogger on October 20th, 2007

monique-anita-elliot.jpgIn Las Vegas, Monique Anita Elliot and her girlfriend, Shatanna Williams are being held on child abuse and child neglect charges for beating Elliot’s nine-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter. Originally, both suspects were arrested for child abuse AND attempted murder because of the severity of the injuries to the girl. If the girl, who has been in a coma since August 15, dies, the D.A. will file murder charges.

Elliot and Williams are being held on bail of $400,000 each.

The arrest warrant says the girl suffered three strokes after Elliott and Williams beat her with cords and belts. The two children were also forced to squat while holding phone books over their heads for hours. They also had to do push ups. The warrant says the girl was choked, and 911 wasn’t called until the next day.

shatanna-williams.jpgThe little girl has been in the hospital in a coma since August 15, when she was removed from her mother’s apartment on a stretcher. According to neighbors, she had on an oxygen mask and a neck collar. She is not on life support but is still unresponsive.

Neighbors said they never suspected a thing. They heard some yelling and crying, but nothing out of the ordinary and nothing that would have indicated that Elliot or Williams was beating on the kids. They never saw marks or bruises and the kids were always laughing and smiling.

The nine-year-old boy is o.k. and in protective custody. Police believe even if the girl revives, she will never fully recover from her injuries.

According to police, Elliot and Williams believed that they were just disciplining the kids. But beating them into a coma. That’s not discipline - that’s abuse and attempted murder.

Hmmm. Kids in comas. Well they certainy don’t spill anything, don’t mess up the room with their toys, don’t ask to go outside to play, don’t ask for a cookie, don’t ask about why the sky is blue or why rainbows are, don’t learn how to tie their shoes, don’t fall asleep in your arms or hold your hand when crossing the street.

Why do these mothers always have an “I don’t give a f*ck” look on their faces. Does it NOT occur to them that they have ruined these children’s lives. If they can’t trust their mothers, who can the trust?? Evil bitches!

April, you are right. The sad thing is that these “women” DON’T give a crap. If they did, then they wouldn’t do this to their children. Plain and simple. They are basically animals, but even animals don’t do this to their young. Evil is the right word.

How the hell can you beat a child so badly that they have THREE strokes and then are non-responsive and you don’t think you did anything more than “discipline” them. These women must have the IQ of a box of rocks. I can only hope they are given the same consideration they gave the children while they are in prison. Evil Bitches is an Understatemnet. I don’t think there is a word in the English language for trash like this.

    Robot B9, so true.
They never say “…I love you mommy…”, most won’t grow up and find happiness, and my heart is broken for this childs unbearable 8 years here. I hope her brother is able to overcome this and thrive.
