Parents Behaving Badly

2-year-old girl abandoned in locked in bathroom for 2 days

by joelnet on October 10th, 2007

Neighbors had been hearing the screams of the 2-year-old for about two days. Why they didn’t call the police sooner, who knows… but at least they did.

When the police finally arrived, they found the 2-year-old girl who was locked in the bathroom. The lock on the door had been inverted so it could be locked from the outside.

The father said he has not been in communication with the child or her mother for at least a month and police are still searching for the mother.

The child is with Child Protective Services and will be temporarily placed with a foster family.

Some crack whore I’m sure. I would love to lock that BITCH in a room. My questions is - Why didn’t the father come to see about the child if he hadn’t heard from the mother?? My guess is that he gave about as much of a shit about the baby as mama did. That is probably why CPS has the child instead of letting the dady take custody. I hope they find her soon.

These worthless people who are too stupid to go on birth control keep having these kids that suffer so much once they are here need to be shot. What the hell is wrong with them?

If the lock on the door was inverted you can bet your ass this wasn’t the first time that baby was locked in that bathroom.

The real question here is what were the child protective people thinking letting the mother keep the kid in the first place? Two investigations in the two short years of her life? Take the baby away and give her to someone who will care for her.

We need a complete overhaul of child protective systems in this country because they sure as HELL don’t protect the child. They’re focused on preserving the family, which in most cases is disfunctional as hell and made up of “parents” who are incapable of running their own lives much less caring for children.

It’s time to realign their purpose and start focusing on getting children out of dangerous situations created by their biological parents and getting them into the lives of people who WANT them. Adoptions should be fast tracked and you should lose your child the first time you are found guilty of abuse. End of story.

Ya know, these stories are becoming way too frequent. Then, when kids are put in foster care you have the occasional foster parents that abuse the children and keep them in less than desireable accommodations,etc.. so what is the lesser of the two evils?

For two days the toddler screams….and THEN finally the neighbors intervene….what is happeing to this country and the values of the people that live here? Have ppl become so desensitized to the concerns of others that they choose not to get involved or is it that we have become a nation full of fear and don’t want to get involved??? We are seriously digressing…..

    Here is an update:

She had actually been evicted from the apartment. I had posted another article that stated that there was no furniture in the apartment but the did find a gun in there. That article is here:

This is awful! Sounds like a bad episode of Animal Cops Detroit except it was a baby and not a dog! How crazy do you have to be to lock your baby in a bathroom and disappear? You know she figured that child would die if she locked it in the master bedroom’s bathroom. That would be the one farthest from the front door.

Even though it took them TWO days, at least baby was loud enough for long enough and the apartments were poorly insulated so that rescue could come for her.

You know, maybe the mother actually met with foul play? It seems that she didn’t surround herself with the upstanding citizens or make good choices. Chances are, she left on a drug binge and forgot about her kid, was taken forcibly by someone who left the kid there, or is just an all around shitty person who plain out abandonded her kid in a an empty apartment to die of neglect.
and NOw tha dad wants full custody? Where the f*ck was he during the last month? I’m 33 years old, married and a mother and my Dad has a fit if he doesn’t hear from me at least once a week!

Kathy, the thought of foul play never even crossed my mind. She may have only intended to be gone for a short time and that’s why the baby was throwing such a fit for being locked in there for so long. I suppose only time will tell.

No matter what - She is a shitty mother. Don’t get me started on the father. If he loved that child - nothing but God would have kept him from her. If he new the mother was a piece of shit, he should have petitioned for custody LONG before this happened. I just hope that the baby ends up in a loving home and gets lots of hugs and kisses everyday.

Thanks for the links April, def. a shady past with all the aliases though….and gun in the house, no furniture…maybe she was a user/dealer.

“Neighbors phoned Child Protective Services Sunday after they heard calls for help and the sound of banging on the bathtub for two days, an affidavit from Child Protective Services noted.”….
That’s one smart and stong willed little girl to continue to cry for help and bank on the tub.

I wouldn’t count the dad out just yet….if the woman was a hustler then keeping up with her would be difficult…at least her father is trying to get custody of her instead of just leaving her with CPS, hopefully he has a job and is drug-free.

Right. He should have filed some sort of charges against her if she was keeping his child away from him. I know my husband would fight me to the depths of Hell if I tried to keep his son away from him.

I lived in an apartment with a child upstairs, and there was “banging” at all times of the day and night (having become a parent, now I know why). If I had heard banging in the bath tub for more than a few hours, I would have called someone to complain (complex manager, cops, etc.). This woman is a f**k up, but I believe it’s possible that she has met with foul play. This poor baby needs to be out of the custody of this poor excuse for a parent.

I am willing to bet they can’t find the mom because the boyfriend (or babydaddy) has killed her. Just my guess.

She was just a shitty mother and a neglectful whore.

Thanks God they found that evil bitch. I hope they lock her in a room and don’t feed her for seeral days. She didn’t even ask about her daughter. Kathy - To say that sheis a shitty mom is putting it mildly. Whore really sums it up though… UGH!!

Check out this page - There is another Texas family that is in trouble for locking their (72 lb) teen in a closet on only feeding him a liquid supplement diet:

This site is like a train wreck. You know it is going to be a disgusting site, but for some reason you continue to watch.

I live in Texas. While it is unfortunate, these two cases, you can bet, the parents stays in our Jail system will not be pleasant. Bubba does not take to pieces of garbage hurting our children.

We are not the number 1 death penelty state for nothing.

debc - I am actually (originaly) from Texas. I, for one, believe in “Texas Justice”. LOL It just seems that there is a bunc h of these “shitty mother” stories that are coming out of the state of Texas. WTF!!! I haven’t lived in Texas since I was a “kid” but I do still have family there. Maybe that is why the “Texas” stories stand out to me. I hope you weren’t offended.

    April RJ..
I think you were right on this one…I have zero respect for the Mom who is hiding out locally and asks nothing about her child’s condition.

I wonder if the baby’s daddy was the one who turned in her whereabouts since he was at the hotel too, but was not arrested.

Kathy- thanks for the update..I was wondering what happened.

I wish someone could explain something to me. How can these sorry women carry a precious baby for nine months, feel the baby moving and growing, KNOWING the baby is yours….you created him/her, and not love this little being with all of your heart? I wish someone could help me to understand. I have wondered this a thousand times when I read these stories. I would go out of my mind if my baby was ANYWHERE for two days, without me!

rockdoll - I left my son when he was 2 with my parents while my hubby and I went to Vegas for a weekend. I called every couple of hours until my mother scolded me and told me that she was perfectly capable of looking after her grandson. LOL Needless to say - My hubby and I have not been back to Vegas since and my son is now 6. I can’t stand to be away from him longer than I have to. In fact, I haul ass home every night just so we can play before dinner. There are just some people that are selfish asshole that don’t deserve the right to have children and this woman is one of them!!! I understand you point completely.

I think the man she was with in the motel was her husband, but not the baby’s father. Even so, some obstruction of justice charges should be forthcoming if the police questioned him and he said he didn’t know where she was but was caught in a motel with her!

Of course she didn’t question her child’s well being. Sounds like she was more concerned about losing her fix by being put in jail. It’s hard to get good drugs behind bars. Yeah, she was a crack/heroine whore for sure!
