Ruben Santos Charged with Child Abuse After Five-Year-Old Breaks Up Fight Between Him and Her Mom
In Las Cruces, New Mexico, Ruben Santos, 34, was charged with intentional child abuse, false imprisonment and battery against a household member. Seems that he refused to let his girlfriend take her five-year-old daughter to the hospital after she cut her hand trying to break up a fight between this jerk and her mom.
An anyonymous caller tipped off police that she had spoken to the little girl while at a birthday party at the Santos home. The girl told this person that Santos punched and and kicked her mom repeatedly.
Not only was Santos arrested and charged as a result of the fight, but the cops found out he had three outstanding municipal warrants for his arrest for traffic violations.
I read that Santos is the fiance of the mother. I hope she realizes what a loser he is and uses this incident to dump him and move far, far away.

Looking at his pic, he looks like a gang member, and I bet this isn’t the first time he’s gotten in trouble for battery against a household member or other assault type of charges. In fact, most don’t realize just how bad the physical abuse issues are in New Mexico, there are so many that go unreported…I have Native American family in New Mexico, and there is a constant flood of abuse towards a family member in that state, largely due to the drug/alcohol/gang problems and not to mention there are ALOT of illegal immigrants there that don’t report incidents! Someone should give this child an award for heroism (kind of like the purple heart!), considering she was trying to stop abuse towards her mother, and let’s thank God that she didn’t get killed in the process! It’s a sad, vicious world we live in when are children are now trying to protect us from abuse!

Yup, just as I thought, he has a long record!!
Domestic Violence Commiss#3, Case# D-307-DV-200000301, 5/19/2000
Case# M-14-VR-200000302 Assault against a household member, battery against a household member…he plead guilty to this, 8/22/2000
Another domestic violence commiss#3 case, 8/24/2000
More domestic Violence charges 2/16/2001, 8/9/2001 (this one also included breaking and entering, which was dismissed apparently after he plead guilty to the other charges), Driving with a suspended driver’s license 5/20/2005, Receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle with conspiracy charges as well 7/25/2005, theres a criminal complaint that was filed against him 6/22/2006 which he never showed up to court for and they issued a warrant for him on, another battery against a household member on 6/28/2007 which he plead guilty to (why is this guy still walking the streets after all of these guilty pleas for battery??), and then it looks like it finishes up with someone filing a public nuisance complaint against him and someone else on 6/28/2007.
Wow, this guy is a mess! I wonder if this child was his biochild? At least now he’s locked up and stays that way for awhile, or at least let’s hope he stays locked up this time!

It is a good thing there is more than one way to skin a cat. I wanted to post a comment, but while scrolling down from the top, I got an illegal operations box that closed my screen. When it happened again I almost gave up. But I opened the site a third time and clicked on link to the most recent comment which brougt me almost to the end where the comment box is. I was able to scroll down far enough to see a message posted by desertnanny which is not me. I do not use bad language. Never have; never will. I did note that UM???? is Susan and that Kelly (RJ) is April. I only use one handle on my computer and that is desertnan. desert for the desert town, Tucson, Arizona, I live in and nan which is short for my full name which happens to be Nancy. The username was inspired by the Kingston Trio song Desert Pete. It has been a little disconcerting to see that name in a lot of comments though she is no part of my world thank God. In going through one of my older video tapes I found where I had taped the Caged special which I should rewatch. I also wanted to point out that Monday afternoon’s (on at 3p here in Tucson) Dr. Phil is the 2nd part of Saving Grace, a 6-year-old sexually abused by her grandfather whom she will meet today at age eight. It is so wrong that it can be so terrifying to be a child. Maybe we could view rain as God’s tears at the evil things people do to each other, especially when an adult does evil to a little child. I’m lucky all my dad did was spank my bare bottom and once slapped my face. To think of the miserable lives some children like the youngest Piercy child have/had to live saddens me. It helps when there is a whole community of online folks to share feelings with. I just wish there wasn’t so much name-calling.

If the mother of this child gets back with this loser, her rights should be terminated. No child should have to grow up in that environment. A 5 year old should not have to protect her mother. It should be the other way around. Besides, this asswipe seems to be a waste of oxygen, with his record, the best place for him is prison. Lock him up and throw away the key.

If my comment above sounds out of whack it is because a computer error had redirected me to this page from the one involving the Randall Piercy case. I had not heard of this case until a fellow poster noticed my comment and copied it onto the correct page. I will have to be careful that next time I post a comment I first make sure I am on the pertinent page!

As long as his criminal history is, he belongs in prison. He’s a worthless person. He should never be free again.
