Tracie Preston Gets Life for Killing Her Infant Daughter, Bianca Limerick
In Colorado Springs, Tracie Preston will be sentenced to between 55 and 75 years for killing her eight-month-old daughter, Bianca Limerick. Preston admitted to throwing the baby hard against a bed rail. She’s also admitted to pulling Bianca’s arm so hard the bone snapped. Bianca died as a result of blunt trauma to the head.
Police found Bianca dead in her mother’s minivan. Preston said she threw the baby on the floor and later found that she was dead. She then put the girl in her car seat and drove around Colorado for at least a day.
The associate coroner who performed the autopsy ruled that Bianca had battered baby syndrome, which is an indication of repetitive child abuse. Investigators found she had at least a dozen old rib, arm and leg fractures.
Finally, an abuser who’s getting what she deserves - dying in prison.

Poor little Bianca - to be killed by the one person who should have protected her. What agony she must have suffered in her short life.
Tracie, I hope you rot.
Bianca, baby, I hope you are happy, safe, and whole now. Many prayers for an eternity of joy.

I’m glad to see that finally a “mother” will get to spend the rest of her life in jail…if we’re lucky…
If someone can beat a baby…a sweet, soft little baby, they should not be allowed to live amongst us…end of story…
That poor little baby….Why do they not give their kids away?

Before they put her in prison for the rest of her miserable existence, they should brand the words “I killed my baby” on her forehead. That way we can be sure that her fellow inmates - many of whom would probably give anything for the chance to hold their own babies again, despite their crimes - will ensure she gets the real punishment she so richly deserves.
Mom of four, so far...

Rest in peace, baby Bianca; you are safe at the feet of our Lord now.

I did not know there was a “battered baby” syndrome. Like battered woman’s syndrome?! Even the term is disgusting! How could u hurt a little sweet potatoe! (thats what i called my kids LOL) They are so innocent! Remember how ur babies would look up at u first thing in the morning? Their liitle all lit up! So trusting and innocent! I know hate is a really bad word. But I hate people like this! My friend and his wife cant have kids and they would make wonderful parents! My nail tech also cant concieve and she and her husband are so loving! The first couple I mentioned are not going to adopt. They just spoil the kids of their friends, family and neighbors. Even strangers, they donate time and money to various charities. And my nail tech just finished the screening process to adopt. I cant wait to see the new sweet potatoe.!

I’m sure the prison population will find out exactly what she did. Can’t keep secrets like this for long. She is a filthy piece of human garbage, not even worthy of sharing the same air that her innocent baby breathed for such a short time.

OMG I still can’t stop crying after reading this article! I love babies and children-fact I have 4 of my own and we are trying for 1 more as we speak! They are precious lil angels that GOD has given to us to light up our lives and spirits and make our families what they are! How could youo look at such sweet lil innocent faces and hurt an angel like that? NEVER for the life of me will I ever understand!! and to be quite honest.. I don’t think I ever want to try and understand an evil mind like that!
Dear sweet lil baby you rest in peace now where no one can EVER hurt you again!

This is really painful to read, I can’t imagine the suffering and pain Bianca endured, over a dozen fractures. Ive never had a fracture, and I don’t know what she suffered, I can only sit here and think how the world just moves on, its almost lunch time, tomorrow my youngest will be one and we’re planning an event, and this little baby for months has been in tortuous agony and now is gone…Its not right that this is all there was or is for her. Its not enough. Not enough people have even heard of her or have prayed for her. Did not one person in her life other than her killer not see her in pain… I don’t believe it! Did she go to the doctor ever? If we have big brother in America, then he can also keep a database on child births and ensure that children go the wellness visits or else some action is taken, notifications, then action against the parents for non-compliance. Wait….that would probably require free health care for newborns until the age of one, not a bad idea for a new law…In memory of Bianca…she deserves it.

This women needs to burn in hell for this to her own child. That poor baby felt safe with no one! What a cruel world this is she must have thought in her little mind. This kinda crap just burns me up with anger. A child is a gift from God and should be treated as such period!!!

I just can’t understand why these women that don’t want their babies keep having them only to harm them is such a manner. If you don’t want children take protection, you can get it FREE at any womens health clinic, or better yet keep your nasty legs shut!!!

“El Paso County Department of Human Services officials investigated two reports of abuse involving Bianca, who was reported once to have bruises covering her face” (click on the highlighted “threw the baby hard against a bedrail”….renee, somebody DID know and should have taken precautions to safegaurd this baby…unfortunately, in the name of “family preservation” i suppose…the baby was left with this malfuntioning woman to be beaten and tortured until she died. so very ,very sad and so very, very preventable. i know alot of people think cps is out to “kidnap kids and destroy families”…being a foster/adoptive mother i would rather see cps err on the side of caution and temporarily remove a child until the situation can be investigated than to leave a child in a potentionally explosive situation such as this one. i deal with these abused and neglected littlenes on a daily basis and know how long it can take to make them feel somewhat whole and safe. some people never deserve to have there little ones returned others can remedy the situation and be reunited. my heart aches for little bianca and all the other victims of parental abuse.
How Awful

In many cases CPS is out to kidnap children. They use various techniques on the kids - such as with holding food - to get the kids to say what they want to hear.
There are also many cases where CPS is needed. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. CPS should not have absolute power, and the children taken should be a COST to the state, not a Federal Grant incentive as they now, namely *cough* Florida, *cough* to name one.

They all get that Title IV benefit, Awful. ALL OF THEM.
The system is a dinosaur that’s forgotten to lie down and be extinct. It needs to be dismantled from the top down. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times: Nothing will change until our lawmakers MAKE a change, and they won’t do it unless we force them (they want to be reelected, of course, so we have to let them KNOW we’re unhappy) to do their jobs. Write letters. Make calls. Create petitions (not online petitions, they don’t pay attention to those because there’s no way to confirm voter status). Knock on doors.
It’s not going to walk right up to us, we have to go adn get it.

What a freakin’ messed up world we live in!!! I am surprised that God hasn’t just thrown his hands up and said “I give up! Ya all are worthless!” Because, I think I would have, if I were him. Good think I’m not, huh? What do we do? How do we fix this? Be vigilant? How many times have ALL of us seen a child kicking and screaming and throwing hissy fits as a parent carries the child outside the grocery store? How do we really know that it’s their child? I saw that happen once, and I asked myself that question in my head over and over again. Are we really that blind?I am afraid of the answer. I just pray that God gives me the couarage and the wisdom to know the answer and how to react in the best interest of the child. What a sad society we live in. In the animal world, parent’s die protecting their young. Not in the human world. Sad.

How can people do these things to their children. I just don’t understand. Why are there so many of them now? There are so many people that would love to have a child but can’t (biologically) and then there are those who throw their children away as if they meant nothing. Such a tragedy this girl never had a chance.

Hopefully she rots in prison. Personally i think that it too good for her, but all too often in our society child murderes get off with a slap on the wrist. Atleast she got a more fitting punishment than most.

I am the cousin of the killer and the dead . I would like you all to know there were other children to whom she needs to answer. To a person who would know anything , you would know there is more to it than what the paper says if you would like to keep a open mind feel free to get in touch with me @ kidd_gilly@lycos.com other wise your judgement on others will at some time judge you .

If anyone knew the whole story they might be more sympathetic. Tracie HAD made a plan of adoption for Bianca and Bianca spent her first several months of life with an adoptive family. However, on the very bad advice of a divorce attorney, Tracie took the child back into her home rather than risk losing custody of her 2 year old. It was her love for her 2 year old that motivated her.
I am deeply saddened by the death of this infant, but nothing is as cut and dried as some other writers think. Tracie is a good person who was stressed beyond her capacity to cope. She deserves jail time and loss of custody of her other child, but what is the point of sentencing a handicapped woman to death in prison? She is not a risk to society as long as she never has sole care of another child.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would suggest that we have sympathy for a piece of shit like this. FUCK SYMPATHY. I wish the bitch would die and rot in hell. She sure didn’t have any sympathy for that innocent baby.
