Kimberley Harte and Samuel Duncan Abuse Daughter After Social Services Returns Girl to Them
Kimberley Harte, 23 and Samuel Duncan, 26, of London, England, were found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and could face life sentences. Just seven weeks after their daughter was returned to them by social services, they tortured her by making her eat feces, giving her cold baths, pouring boiling water over her hands, ripping out her hair, kicking her, and locking her in the bathroom. The child was originally removed from her home because of domestic violence between the parents.
The girl - whose name cannot be released for legal reasons - was examined under general anaesthetic because she was in too much pain and near death. The child has cerebral palsy, and the abuse has caused her to regress.
It appears that the decision to let her go back home highlighted failures in the British social services system. Social workers gave her back to her parents despite strong objections from the girl’s foster parents. Once she was home, staff readily accepted injuries as accidents, and made minimal contact with her dad. They also believed the mother’s excuse five times in two months that the girl couldn’t be seen by social workers because she was out with her father. Since abusers hide their victims, this should have been a huge red flag.
The case has horrified the British public who worked hard to change the system after eight-year-old Victoria Climbie was tortured to death in 2000.
Not to give any excuses, but it looks like underfunded and understaffed British social services is overwhelmed these days. Not only with run-of-the-mill child abuse matters, but with cases of ritual abuse inflicted when families believe a child is possessed by evil spirits. The vast majority of ritual abuse happen in first or second generation migrants from African countries, south Asia, and the Caribbean.
Maybe folks have been watching the Omen and the Exorcist a little too much. Damn.

These people are monsters, true evil walking the earth.To do this to any child is beyond any scale of “bad” you can draw up. To do this to a 4 year old kid with CP, who may not have even been able to hold up her hands to defend herself or even had the motor skills to spit out the shit they fed her, those lousy fucking bastards, I hope they are jailed for life and get it good from Bubba the whole time, ya know. I worked with disabled kids at a camp when I was in my 20’s and some of those kids taught me so much about life (not just the simple stuff either, like to be grateful that I can walk okay)that I’ll never forget them. This one really pisses me off bad.Yeah, Britain’s system needs an overhaul, alright, maybe even more than ours. This could have been prevented about 50 times over.Hopefully the foster mother that had her before (and warned the stupid-assed authorites) will get her back. She of all those that touched the girl, seemed to give a fuck. God, I’m angry.

British prisons are like holiday camps ! They’re the opposite of US ones . Whatever these 2 sick fucks get will be lenient , I’d put money on it . How did no one else notice something was wrong ? Poor little girl !

I think, after years of getting upset by stories such as these but doing nothing, I am finally going to devote some time to campaigning for reform of the British Social Services. The BSS is inexplicably squeamish about saying to suspect parents ‘You’re lying,’ or forcing their way into their home: why? I am not interested in a torturer’s rights: they don’t have any. If you’re found to be innocent we apologise for the intrusion, but how else to uncover insects other than by lifting rocks? They didn’t manage to kill her and she’s recovering, bless her, but what do we do with them? Rehabilitation? It will take all my will power (and more) to condone that. Just now, my thoughts are full of blood.

Im a child aswel and to read this is just distressing. I hope social services feel ashamed, they are much to blame for this themselves, if they weren’t such a load of BOLOX, maybe this child would have had a fighting chance at a decent life, but now this is going to stick with her forever..it just shows children arent neccessarily safe anymore. Im so angry, these sick mother fuckers Samuel and Kimberle ydeserve to rot in prison, and when they come out are going to get FUCKED by the public, I HOPE SO TOO.

I am deeply disturbed and discusted i feel compelled to hunt these sick bastards down and slowly torture them myself.This makes me embarassed to be british,that two people from my nation can be such cruel and evil animals to a poor defenceless innocent baby.What hurts more is that i am a mother of a 4 year old daughter and she is the most precious thing in the world to me,how people can not respect the beauty and innocence of such a young child repulses me.

I am not surprised at all that things like this happen in this country, I myself, have been fighting for months now to see justice done for some Special Needs children in a school where I used to work. I cannot go into this in detail, but little children who are ADHD and Asperges are locked in on a day to day basis for up to half an hour inbetween a fire door and external door with a member of staff sitting outside the area on a chair facing away - reading!. The head teacher can get away with this because the parents consent to it. The whole thing makes me sick, I have spoken to various people about my concerns, but although a lot of people seem to consider this abuse; from the HT of this particular school to members of the LEA seem to find the strategies normal. I left my job because of this, blowing the whistle, and still feel so alone. If this can be allowed to happen in schools, then nothing surprises me. SO CALLED INCLUSION!!!! Although I am seen as ‘just a TA’, and ‘what do I know’. I do not need 10 degrees to recognise abuse. If anywhere a child is being abused, it is every adults responsibility to take action, but in this country, it is often the case that something drastic has to happen before action is taken or laws are changed. I now work in a different school where SEN children are treated with respect and care, simply because the management understands that certain conditions will be accompanied by difficult behaviour and that these children are not necessarily ‘naughty kids’. It is with schools as it is with parents, a child has to be lucky where it where he or she ends up!!!God bless the poor little girl and all other innocent victims!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just heard the news that the two evil bastards that did those horrible things to that poor, innocent little girl, have got a total of 22 years in prison. God knows how long theyll actually be in for with all that good behaviour bollocks. They are disgusting, evil people that should be hung.

I strongly disagree with you Melissa.
Hanging these days involves a long drop with an almost clinical and relatively painless death, which scum like this don’t deserve.
Let them do enough time in prison to make them old and feeble by the time they come out, because other prisoners are not going to be very tolerant of a couple of child torturers.
Then when they have served the prison sentence, stand them on a low stool, stick their scrawny miserable necks in nooses and kick the stools away. That way they’ll die really slowly in agony. And if you’re looking for a volunteer to be executioner, I’m free.

I know Sam Duncan and he used to play with my kids all the time, in fact they loved him,i knew him when he never had kids and when he told me he was having one i told him he wasnt ready,the guy never had two pence to rub together,he had a big heart but lived in a dreamworld.
i cannot believe he would do this, everyone who knows him is shocked this is totally out of the character we knew,he is known around the edgeware road and kilburn areas.He was a good footballer and really wanted to become a pro..
i do not understand how or why a london city kid could do this but if he did do it,im glad i dont know him now.
Everyone who knew him let him into their houses and hearts.i am shocked beyond belief.

I think that what Harte and Duncan did to that poor disabled child is absolutley sickening. How they can be so evil to a 4 year old girl is beyond me and they desrve to be tortured too! A British prison is to lenient for them. I couldn’t stop thinking about it when I first heard about it, it’s very distressing that it is going on right now as you read this and nothing is being done about it.

Alot of the problems were caused by social services, as my Cousin was the foster parent of the poor little girl in this case, and if they listen to her in the first place. Them evil Parents would’nt have had the chance to hurt her like the way they did.
And after all that she went though, they decided to give her back to my cousin, when all she wanted was to stay there in the first place.

I think for this to be able to happen to another child in this day & age is disgusting, after all this country says they stand for in terms of child safety/children awareness, what the Government wants to stop doing is pouring so much of OUR money after projects and schemes that are of no beneficiary to the everyday person and focus on the everyday problems that are affecting everday people and families day in day out, after all the press involvement in the case of Victoria Climbie you would have thought that there would’ve been a major focus on Social Services and all those involved in the welfare of vunerable children, how the hell are people still being employed, given the responsibility of monitoring, making decisions in regards to these poor children and they have no clue as to whats really going on in these childrens lives (and more than likely don’t care as their in there jobs soley for the financial gain as opposed to the satisfaction you’d gain from having a positive impact on a young vunerable childs life) how does any adult irrespective of what they do for a living, irrespective of their academic level come into contact with a child that you can visably/physically see has been injured/injuries and not question what actions have led to the child in question being hurt, worse if you see injuries on the child in question more than once……. “Hello”…… U wouldn’t have to be a Rocket Scientist to get the gut instinct somethings wrong (these people are employed to have a gut instinct on these things) “Yeah right”….. My last words on this is “Literally thank God for people on the planet like my cousin Audrey, thats not only a good person but shes also genuine,loving & loyal and I have great faith that Audrey was brought into this little girls life for a reason and our God knew why he chose her for all the reasons above and more and I know thats Audreys involvement will inevitably have a positive impact on this little girls life forever as Audrey is a wonderful person and mother and has Articulate, beautiful children of her own as living proof.

This is the 3rd serious and majorly publicized case that we’ve had in the last few years with regards to child abuse in the UK.
The whole purpose of Social Services is to protect children from this sort of montrous behaviour. Unfortunately like the Police, Doctors and many other Government services not all staff are following the procedures that should be carried out. Many of them abuse there authority and do not due the jobs they are paid to do, taking short cuts at the consumers expense, or just doing the job the way they feel. Regardless of a parent making excuses or the Social Worker feeling that the child is better off with the parents if something tells you something is not right you are not paid to take the parents feelings into account, it’s the child’s best interest that is your main concern.
I too have 2 children (age 2 and 4) and no matter how trying children can be, such behaviour is not warrented under any circumstances.
If the foster carer was doing such a great job how could the child go back to the home without there being sufficent evidence that she would be safe with her biological parents, and such tragadies would not re-occur.
Children have great difficulties overcoming such tramuas in their adultlife which then makes them vunerable and susceptible to an unstable way of living as they haven’t had the fundementals that should be in the raising of ALL children.
If Audrey is anything like her cousins Michelle and Jade who I am very close with then I doubt the Social Services system for their so-called services as if the chlid was safe and in a loving home how can she be returned to the tortures of her parents.
Audrey I wish you well and hope that this young child is returned to you loving care.

This outdated prejudice, the idea that it is better for chirdren’s “development” if they grow up with their natural parents, seems to still pervade the social services, and is now responsible for this attrocity. How many incidents like these are needed to convince these retards that there is nothing ‘natural’ about parenthood and that there is no guarantee natural parents are the most appropriate, or that they love, want or even like their children? And more dangerously, that they can be cruel executioners?
I suspect that it’s her parents that caused cerebral palsy on the girl by malnourishing and hitting her on the head when she was an infant. If they could achieve this degree of torture now she is 4 they could have certainly started doing it some time earlier… Did the social workers push the parents to take her back in the naive conviction that this way they’d have a chance to become their model happy natural nuclear family?

Let’s get with the program! The parent GAVE EXCUSES 5 times so they did not have to meet with the social workers.. If you have had a child removed from your home in the past, visits should be mandatory, with no room for excuses. This could have been prevented.
