LaShaun Harris Found Legally Insane After Killing Kids
For those who hadn’t heard, LaShaun Harris, the Oakland, California mom who thought God told her to toss her kids into the river, was found legally insane by a judge. Too bad no one made that determination BEFORE she murdered her children. This is an obviously sick woman who should never have been left to care for kids.

I’m hardly a bleeding heart, but the courts did the right thing. Harris had been hospitalized a number of times before this tragedy, and her family pleaded for intervention, to no avail. My irritation is with the family. If you KNOW your daughter is suffering from psychosis, why the HELL didn’t your open your homes to those poor children?

I don’t understand how NO ONE knew there was a problem. I can’t imagine being so deranged to hurt my child and no one having the slightest clue.
I get sick my stomach when I read the line that her 16 month old was laughing thinking it was a game.

I am neither a pleading heart, I understood that the family tried to get help from CPS and was told nothing could be done. Also they could not force LaShaun Harris to stay with them if they wanted too. It is very hard to get intervention for a mentally ill person.

Since suicide and homicide warnings have been put on countless psyciatric medications for children and young adults, isn’t there a great possiblity that these medications could have been a primary cause for this horrific and saddening action!

It just saddens me so much to imagine the terror that those little guys were feeling…how utterly sad.
