Teresa Moses Faces Murder Charges over Son Raijon Daniels’ Torture Death

by admin on January 10th, 2007

Teresa MosesUn-fracking-believable. Charming Bitch has updated me on the case of Teresa Moses, the woman who tortured her beautiful son Raijon Daniels to death in a basement dungeon. At the time of her arrest, Moses insisted that her boy had swallowed Pine-Sol while holed up in the basement. But the autopsy report, which was recently released, showed no signs that Raijon had ingested a household cleaner. The official cause of death? Battered child syndrome. The coroner said that not only was Daniels’ body “thatched” from head to toe due to years of abuse, but that he also suffered from ketoacidosis, an acid build-up brought on by starvation.

The ketoacidosis angle only magnifies the tragedy. Authorities suspect that Moses would pour Pine-Sol on Raijon’s penis to make him stop pissing himself. You know what causes frequent urination? That’s right: ketoacidosis.

In other words, the autopsy proves that Teresa Moses is a lying, murderous mommy.

But who else murdered Raijon? Buried in the latest report is this little gem:

The brown and pale-red scratch marks over both of his thighs and his right shin were “numerous, too numerous to count,” the report said. According to a Kaiser emergency room doctor, Raijon’s physician twice in 2005 noted symptoms of past sexual abuse. (Emphasis mine)

And yet, no one acted. From 2002 until 2006, people reported that this kid was being abused - and welfare workers in Contra Costa County kept “evaluating out” these reports. How did they handle the physician’s report? Did the physician even reported his findings to child services, which is his professional duty as a mandatory reporter? How, in the face of such overwhelming abuse and immense physical scarring, could Employment and Human Services Department director Joe Valentine say that the only thing his agency might have done differently is make “another phone call”? There wasn’t a single missed opportunity by the state to save Raijon Daniels’ life; there was a four-year string of abuse and torture.

Prosecutors are unsure whether they’ll add a murder charge against Moses. As it is, the torture charge against her carries a life sentence. That benefits society, and will give Moses the bitch-smacking she so rightly deserves. Sadly, it does nothing for Raijon Daniels, who appears to have been murdered by the system every bit as much as he was murdered by his mother.

Why is it that the states with the biggest social expenditures have the crappiest social services? Here in my podunk, redneck state if you so much as look at your kid the wrong way, the state comes in. Just last week, the state picked up two kids attending the funeral of their sibling who fell off the hood of car while it was being driven by a teenager.

Law Wench, I would not disagree with removing syblings of a child killed by riding on a car..

I suppose it would matter the age of the child but I do wonder the environment that would be involved where a child would be riding on someones car.

I can’t see how the prosecutors should be unsure as to add the murder charge. Is the systematic torture and subsequent death of a child at the hands of his mother (I use the term loosely) NOT murder? Perhaps I’m missing something, but would this not be a case where she could face the death penalty?

I agree prosecutors are unsure about what she did kill the boy. If it wasn’t for her he’d still be alive. This hits close because Richmond is only about an hour from me. No doubt it’s a crappy area but that’s no excuse for this boy being overlooked. This reminds me of Dave Pelzer, unfortunately this little boy couldn’t make it to a better life but now he is away from this harm that his piece of shit for a mom has provided. R.I.P Little Cutie

This, and cases similar, are the reason(s) why I am going to school for a social work degree.

    Diamond,
I am happy that you are going to school for a social work degree! I am happy to know that people are like me in wanting to change the CPS systems. Even if we don’t have a social services degree, we should still be involved in making sure the system is working to upgrade their procedures. We need to all come together on this!

This dumb BITCH deserves to DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe someone should pour some pinesol down her throat just so she could feel some of the pain that her child felt. And as usual the “system” fails to do their damn job, This poor child, it hurts my heart to know that these sick fucks are even able to conceive a child, then this is what they do to them. I hope this bitch gets everything single ounce of pain that she has caused her child tenfold!!!

I totally and completely agree with CHW1981. In some cases an eye for an eye should be legal. Any abuse, or torture towards children should be the highest offense you could get.

Once again, the system failed and a child had to suffer because of it. I agree with Diamond and Monique. I also am going into Social Work to try to do some good in our horrible system.

As for the mom, she deserves to get done to her, what she did to her child. It upsets me because there are soo many couples that cannot have children and would do anything to have them, but parents like her don’t want them and they treat them like shit. I will never understand why they won’t just give them to someone that cares.

I have a daughter and I would NEVER hurt her. I just don’t get it.

She needs the dealth penalty for sure.

[…] Why did child services in California not know that Raijon Daniels was being tortured to death in his mother’s basement? What allowed social workers there to ignore the obvious signs of abuse, and the doctor’s report of molestation? Why did police attempt to arrest the grandmother of a teen who tried to visit her, instead of investigating the parents who kept her locked in her room for 22 hours a day, two years straight? […]

[…] Sigh. Here we go again - another child imprisonment case. How many of those have we seen in the past year? At a minimum, there’s Randall Piercy, who used security cameras to keep his son locked in his room; Teresa Moses, who killed her son through torture in her basement/dungeon; and Abdel-Nasser Youssef Ibrahim and his ex-wife Amal Ahmed Ewis Abdel-Motelib, who made a young Egyptian girl their house slave. Oh, oh - and how can I forget the Gravelles?! And those are only the ones I can remember off of the top of my head. […]

Hey did you guys know that she also had another child? A little girl. Who by the way did not get treated like little Raijon. From what I read in earlier reports and from what my mother told me, they played the entire 911 dispatch call on the news in California. She said it was so sad. Just brought you to tears. He kept asking for help. He didnt’ want his mommy to hurt him anymore. By the time the police got there, he was gone. He had been picked up some 5-10 miles from his home by a woman driving. She said he was soaked in his own urine and would not tell her where he lived. Duh, he didn’t want to go back. That one perosn could have made such a big difference if she had used common sense and took him to a police station. He would still be alive today. Maybe with his father or his grandmother. Theresa Moses is going to bust hell wide open with gasoline draws on. BITCH!

TO THE OWNER OF THIS BLOG:

This is the first time I’ve been to this site, but I want to thank you for doing what you do. I am studying to be a social worker, and my focus is Child Welfare Services. Reading these cases really breaks my heart. However, studying them will simply make me stronger when having to deal with such incidents hands-on. Now, when reading Teresa Moses’ case it reminded me of the boy in Richmond. I want to ask is that the same case, or are they just similar? If these are two different cases I’d like you to add the Richmond, Virginia case to your blog. Everything sounds the same except the person I’m thinking of home-schooled her son. The boy was locked in his room instead of a basement, but the mother poured chemicals on his penis as well.

Again, I’d like to thank you for keeping the awareness alive. Furthermore, let us keep children in prayer 24/7 because I believe prayer is the only thing that will help spare some of their lives. GOD BLESS THE BABIES AND CHILDREN EVERYWHERE!!! :-)

I hope that woman never sees the light of day again. I can’t even imagine the horror that her little boy lived through.
