Updates: Connie and John Oliver, Amanda Hamm
Case updates for today: Amanda Hamm was convicted of child endangerment, but acquitted of murder. If her attorney gets his way, she’ll walk out of jail after sentencing. One of her former boyfriends called the verdict “a bunch of crap.” We couldn’t agree more. Meanwhile, John and Connie oliver, who are accused of starving their kids, will get the chance to abuse ‘em some more! Woo!

Hmm. I am not sure what to make of the Oliver’s story. If the kids didn’t gain weight in state custody either perhaps there is a medical issue? How old were they when adopted? Were they under-sized then, as well? I don’t know the circumstance of them being found alone nor what the story is with them being beaten/abused but something isn’t sitting right about the charges of starvation. Not that it’s better to beat than to starve your kid but something about this story doesn’t add up.

I was in jail with Amanda Hamm both before and after her trial (I was only in for underage drinking). Anyway, she’s a crazy ass bitch who got away with too much. The most time she could possibly sit in prison is 7 1/2 years….that’s crap for killing three innocent children. It really sucked having to pretend to feel sorry for her having to go to prison when I was sitting there thinking about how she should have gotten life like Lagrone did. I wonder if she would have been found guilty of murder had the child endangerment option not been added…….I guess we’ll never know.

WEll she got away with murder. She received her sentence today and only recieved 10 years. After being in jail for the last 3 years, she will get credit for that and really only have to do 14 month in IDOC. Where is the justice?
