Dad Sentenced for Murdering Mom after She Refused Abortion
Sigh. Another day, another story of violent abortion. I’ve already talked about rocket scientist Charles D. Young, who tried to hire a hit on his girlfriend when she refused to abort. Fortunately, police were able to insert themselves into the situation before the young mother came to harm. But hot tipper Heidi informs me that LaToyia Figueroa of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania wasn’t so lucky. This beautiful young woman went missing in 2005 when she was five months pregnant. Now, a year later, her boyfriend Stephen Poaches has been convicted of murdering her. His motive? She wouldn’t get an abortion. Ergo, she - and her baby, his unborn child - had to “disappear”.
Poaches’ lawyers tried to argue that he strangled Figueroa “impulsively” during an argument, which would have made the crime manslaughter. But prosecutors weren’t buying that shit. They pressed for first-degree murder, based on testimony from Poaches’ friends that the bad-ass dad hated his girlfriend being pregnant and wanted her dead.
Poaches’ bastard blood-sucking leech of an attorney, Michael Coard, tried to wave away the testimony by pointing out that Poaches had used his hands to kill Figueroa, saying: “How many times has it been seen where a defendant who has access to a firearm strangles somebody to death?” Translation: If my thug client had wanted her dead, he would’ve taken her out the right way! But when it became obvious that no one wanted to buy what Coard was selling, Poaches opted to take a plea deal offering life in prison in lieu of the death penalty.
