An Open Letter to Baby Jordan’s Mom
To the Boston, Massachusetts mother who put her newborn baby into a trash bag and left him in a vacant lot:
You are one cold-hearted bitch.
Your life is tough? You didn’t want your baby? That’s why Massachusetts passed Safe Haven laws for the express purpose of helping moms like yourself. Did you ever stop to think what would’ve happened if wild animals had happened upon your child before rescuers did? Thank [insert your choice of Higher Power here] that the Avendano family saw your little boy struggling like hell in the seedy yard next door, and took your son to a hospital.
You didn’t want your son? Fine! There are plenty of people who will vie to give him a good home. All you had to do was drop him off at a hospital and run away - no questions asked. Apparently, even that was too much of a strain for you. Goddess forbid you take an hour to make sure your infant isn’t torn apart by wild dogs, or taken by someone with less than the best of intentions.
Few people would have considered you a bad mother for admitting that the responsibilities of parenthood overwhelmed you. But now? Well…good luck finding a shoulder to cry on.

I watched the news snippet-even 14 year old girls were disgusted, and talked about all the options this woman would have had.
I’m running out of sympathy for women lately.

Sadly, thordora, the men don’t appear to be doing much better these days. :-/

I can’t imagine what goes through their mind, I just can’t. Maybe it’s because I actually want children, just NOT NOW. But how could they throw something that was their flesh and now their child away like garbage? My hatred for women who does this to their babies is on the same level as my hatred for men who rape women or abuse their bed partners.
