Couple Convicted of Nearly Starving Boys to Death
Hot tipper Kate passed along this article about Barbara and Tommy Baldwin, two (heterosexual) adoptive parents who kept the two boys in their care locked in a garage, and fed them nothing but garbage and dog food. When the 9- and 10-year-old boy were removed from the home, they immediately began to thrive again, and put on weight.
In other good news, the Baldwins each face up to 99 years in prison for the shoddy treatment of their charges. This is a judge. This is a book. This is the judge throwing the book at you. Any questions?
The next time someone attempts to tell you that gay adoption is harmful to children, ask them why placing children in the hands of monsters like Barbara and Tommy Baldwin if preferable to trusting them to the care of a nice gay couple.

I have often wondered the same thing.
Maybe we can come up with a more productive,pro child phobia and get over the “gays shouldn’t adopt kids” bullsh**

These poor babies. I hope that they find a good home and a loving family for them. On the topic of gay folks being allowed to adopt, there’s no doubt that gay couples should have just as much right to screw up their kids as we straight couples do. From the joys of waking up every few hours to feed a newborn to having your teenager tell you how much they hate you, I don’t believe the powers that be should stop homosexuals from experiencing the “fun” of raising children. But seriously, I think gay people sould finaly be given the right to be recongnized in the institutions of both marriage and adoption. It feels like the heads of religon and political leaders are trying to keep homosexuals out or “ruining” our sacred institutions. I’m sorry, but I don’t see how two men or two women marrying each other and adopting children in any way affects my marriage or my child rearing.

I would be interested to know the update to this story. I hope and pray that these little guys have found a loving family and are doing great. I also would hope that the monsters who did this to them get some jailhouse justice.

I don’t think it’s good for gay couple to adopt children. This may affact the growth of children. However, I think gay couple getting married is good. I also see some on http://www.biloves.com.
