Jonathon Edington Flips Shit, Kills Man Accused of Molesting Daughter
I waited a couple of days to post this until some more information came rolling in. Okay, that’s BS - I actually totally forgot about it. But better late than never, eh? Even so, with four days between us and the incident, it seems like everybody in Fairfield, Connecticut is issuing a collective "What the Fuck?" over the case of Jonathon Edington, a 29-year-old dad who stabbed his neighbor to death after Edington’s wife told him that the man next door had molested the Edingtons’ daughter.
Here’s what the press tells us we know. (And really, isn’t that all we need to know? America - what a country!) Edington’s wife filed a police complaint on Wednesday against Barry James, their next door neighbor, who his neighbors said has been exhibiting bizarre behavior in the past few months. In other words, Edington wigged out upon hearing the allegation and decided to go all Judge Dredd on his neighbor’s ass, climbing into his house through a window and butchering him with a knife.
This case is a little odd for this blog, as we usually cover crimes parents have committed towards their children. And Edington, by all reports, was a good parent. The phrase "doting dad" is popping up in most of the stories about Edington. All reports say he was a devoted father. Which raises the question: is it possible to be too devoted?

As a father with two daughters of my own, Jonathon is a hero!!!
This is the way monsters like this should be delt with and I would have done the same exact thing in his shoes.
FYI, two year olds don’t lie or make things up.
The guy was guilty and was lucky that his punishment came so quick and swift.

As a father of FIVE girls, I send a difinitive thumbs up to Jonathon. Our kids are victims of these creatons way too often, touche!

I call this a justifiable homicide. I am afraid that he will be doing time for doing the right thing. There are times when vigilante justice is fitting.
If someone harms my daughter, I will do something similar.

I am currently going through a trial with my 8 year old allegating her step cousin molested her when she was six. I live in a town of 2500 and those SOB’s are lucky I haven’t blown away their entire ignorant family. When someone messes with one of your kids and you have other allegations to back it up you deserve nothing less than to be stabbed to death.

You people that are saying he got what he deserved….think about if you were in this guys shoes…..You are in your house, some freaked out dad comes in and starts stabbing you. You have no idea what the hell is happening. How can you justify what this idiot did? You’re telling me you would just fly off the handle and kill someone without knowing for sure what the hell happen?
I think we need the whole story before anyone can say one way or the other……but one thing for sure is you don’t kill someone without knowing the truth. This idiot lawyer needs to be put away for many more years than he will probably ever get in our court system.

2-year-olds don’t lie? What crap. There is no evidence this man deserved to be stabbed to death in his bed. This father deserves life in jail — he is also a pathetic role model for his child.
