Frantz Bordes: “Cursed by Voodoo”, Dad Drowns Kids, Suicides by Subway
[UPDATE: news reports conflict on the ages of the kids, and on the spelling of the father’s name. The New York Post reports the ages listed below as switched from how they were originally reported, and the perpetrator’s name as Frantz Bordes. Looking around a other sites, it appears that the original Associated Press story was inaccurate. I’ve changed the text below appropriately.]
Sigh. If religion and superstition didn’t exist, someone would have to invent them. Otherwise, what would all the crazy people believe in? Manic belief fuels the tragic story of Frantz Bordes, a 39-year-old Staten island man who lived with the mother of his two kids: Sweitzer, who was 4, and Stephanie, who was 2. Bordes, convinced that the End Times were at hand, went to the nearest subway station and flung himself in front of a train. The children’s mother, Francoise Mercier, rushed home when she heard of his death…and found her two angels drowned to death in the bathtub.
Question: Did no one notice that this guy was slowly losing his mind? Did no one - his wife, his neighbors, the freaking mailman - not notice that he was becoming increasingly dangerous to have around little ones? Have we become so bereft as a society that we bury our heads in the sand and mutter "none of my business" when someone is obviously tumbling into a mental abyss?
Sadly, I think the answer is obvious.

Um, Daphnie, every news report I can find states the ages as I stated them above.

Actually, I meant to delete one of the previous comments, not the first comment. My bad. I wish I had kept it, as it shows you throwing insults at me right out of the gate. All you had to do was give me a pointer to the corrected article, and I would have gladly edited this entry.
The Associated Press reported this incorrectly. It’s stated incorrectly on several sites, not just mine. If you want to get pissed at anyone, get pissed at them.

This person was a crazy fucking bastard, you got that right! Voodoo my ass! Don’t get me wrong, we are all entitled to our own beliefs but, I truly believe that-as suggested by the link provided by daphnie when it explains that this man was cursed with voodoo by his kids mother’s family for philandering-the people hurling insults at The Zero Boss are possibly one’s the crazy bastard philandered with? Here are the facts: fucked up Frantz killed his kids and then himself=LOSER LOWLIFE. Defending this asshole is a waste of time-keep telling it like it is Zero Boss.
