It’s a known fact that members of the human species often need the obvious explained to them. Repeatedly. On occasion, with the assistance of a hammer. Well, Pam Spaulding of Pandagon has a hammer, and she’s not afraid to use it.
Spaulding’s target: conservatives who contend that gay and lesbian couples are unfit to raise children - or, at least, not as fit as their hetero brethren. Bullshit, says Spaulding, who offers up two recent and ugly examples of het parenting gone wrong: a mom who pimped her daughter out to her boyfriend, and a man who upped the ante by striking a similar "deal" for his own 12-year-old daughter’s virginity. Disgusting as these cases are, they’re no strange site to readers of PBB, which serves as a testament to the horrors produced by people who believe "parenting" is nothing more than inserting Tab A into Slot B.

Well, couldn’t the child have had another set of straight foster parents?
Seriously, gays should not be allowed to adopt or be foster parents. That is because children need a male and a female parent–for balance. Boys raised by two females, for example, tend to be effeminate.
Gays wanting to adopt is not about caring about children, it’s just plain selfishness. They don’t care that they can do psychological harm to a child.
You have feminists to thank…they claim that males and females are exactly the same and that the genders are interchangeable. When you realize they’re not, you see why same-sex couples should never adopt.

Here’s a question:
What’s wrong with being an effeminate male? That’s my view. Better than being an abusive neglecting male, like David Carroll up there.
And what about kids that grow up with single dads? Are they ‘psychologically damaged’?
My brother grew up with no dad, had a single Mom and 2 sisters. Ended up to be a good man. He is a gentle and kind husband, and loves his kids to the ends of the earth. Is there something wrong with that?
I think basing people’s parenting abilities on thier sexual orientation would be similar to basing others’ abilities on their hair color. If gay couples can’t raise kids, then redheads should not be able to own dogs.
