A potentially scary situation is unfolding in New Zealand. Police say 19-year-old Edward Milne has taken his baby from a New Zealand home and is on the run with her. Authorities are concerned that Milne, who has little prior parenting experience and - well, he’s 19 years old. How mature were you at age 19?
Come on, Edward. Let the cops know where you are, and let them know your kid is okay. And for the love of all that’s holy, keep your cool. Don’t do anything dumb. I want to blog nothing but good things about you from this point on - for both you and the sake of your baby.

At 19 I had my son and managed to keep him alive just fine, despite no prior parenting experience. And if you point out that it’s OK because I’m female, I’ll have the SAHDs whup you.

Hey, my little girl was born when I was 20. And my wife had Meg when she was 17. So no arguments.
I’m just saying, I know the AVERAGE 19-year-old. And he scares me.

This child has been found safe and well. No charges have been laid, as it was not the scare mongering story that this has been made out to be.
Please remove the tasteless movie comparison pictures, this does nothing to help other people who may be feeling temporarily desperate.
