Dad Leaves Family at Accident Scene
Boy, folks, we have a real winner in DeKalb County, Alabama. Brian Freeman, a 30-something father of three, fled from the scene of a car accident. Trouble is, he left something behind - i.e., his wife and kids. Passersby were left to fill the role of good Samaritan abandoned by Freeman by pulling his wife and three kids, ages 12 and under, from the damaged vehicle. The article doesn’t say that Freeman has any warrants out for his arrest. Indeed, police appear baffled by the man’s actions. Perhaps he was packing an illegal firearm? Scads of dope? An expired license/registration? Does it matter? If there were an excuse in existence that justified this behavior, chances are we wouldn’t be blogging it. Have fun in jail, Mr. Freeman - and a jolly ol’ time in divorce court shortly thereafter.

The man could be mentally deranged and needs help and not jail.
I recommend corrective measures and not punitive measures.

He could have had some damage to his brain and gone wandering, a la a fugue state.
I hope that’s the case, anyway.
