Prince Albert II: My Sperm Was Framed!
So who’s the parent behaving badly in this case: the woman who purportedly entrapped a man with her pussy, or the man who whines about it publicly? Last year, Prince Albert II admitted that he’d slept with flight attendant Nicole Coste, a tryst that resulted in the birth of a son, Alexandre. To his benefit, Albert has admitted his paternity, and seems intent on being a good father, both financially and emotionally. Still, stating in public that you were “set up” for a pregnancy shakedown, even if true, strikes me as crass.
Look, Albert baby. Even if Ms. Coste told you she was on the pill, you still should’ve sported a jimmy hat. Those flight attendants travel the world; you don’t know where they’ve been! But seriously, if you wanted 100% protection, you should’ve taken that responsibility on yourself. Now that you have a son, it’s reprehensible to leave a media trail cataloguing your displeasure for his mother. If his mom’s a whackjob, he’ll find that out himself in due course. In the meantime? See your kid, pay your support, and shut the fuck up already.

If Prince Albert gave it to her in the can then this wouldn’t be an issue.
Crass, I know but I couldn’t resist.

I actually read the initial interview with Nicole Coste in Paris Match. She seemed a little clueless. According to her, Albert was visiting her maybe once a month when he came to Paris, but somehow she took this to mean that they had a lifetime commitment. When he finally takes her to the palace to meet Papa, she calls the Prince “Monsieur” (sir) instead of “Monseigneur” (your excellency). (This is apparently a big faux pas, but what do I know?) After that, Albert was extremely cold to her…and at that point the interview got really boring and I stopped reading it.
While his remarks might seem crass, *she’s* the one who decided to do the interview with Paris Match (France’s equivalent of People, except a bit more serious in some ways) just a few weeks after his father died. If she wanted to make a big splash, she could’ve done it at any point before or waited a bit after — but she did this to sock it to him.
Just my two (French-reading) cents.
