Bobby Brown Shows for Court Date, Does “Good Dad” Shtick

As a rule, judges like it when you show up for court. They tend to get…pissy when you skip out with some lame-ass excuse about stomach flu. Bad boy Bobby Brown got an earful of it when he - gasp! - showed up for his appointed court date this week on charges that he was behind (again) in his child support payments. At one point, the former (ahem) talent was $63,000 in arrears. But now, he claims he’s all paid up and playing the part of the good dad. Um, Bobby? People with the financial resources of you and Whitney Houston shouldn’t have to play catch-up in the first place. Seriously, has Whit smoked and snorted that much of her fortune already? Did she have to hock a Grammy or something to keep your ass out of jail?
