AIDS Murder #2: Indian Woman Drowns Baby
Didn’t I just write about a mom who had killed her son because she’d discovered that they both had HIV? Why, yes I did. And now, not a week later, comes this report from Gurripudi in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh that Chintaluri Kumari killed her adopted baby after the villagers said he might have the affliction. Not that she had any medical tests done, mind you. Nope - she just tied a stone to him and threw him down the well.
Look. I understand that AIDS is a horrible illness. And I know it’s more or less a death sentence iin some countries that can’t afford the expensive medications to treat it. But that should galvanize you to fight for your child - not prompt you to hack them to pieces or drown them. I’d expect to see these parents going to superhuman lengths to make their children healthy. But instead, they choose the final solution - not because it’s best for the kid, but because it’s easier for the parent. And that’s just pathetic.

This wasn’t a sick woman with a sick child living in horrific conditions. This was apparently a healthy woman who just didn’t want to be bothered. No mixed feelings about this one, it’s murder.

Oh for heaven’s sake– and I was feeling guilty about putting my needs not to have my kids play soccer first…
