Ex-Wives Mad, Say Color Me Badd Lad is a Deadbeat Dad
Dude…you know you’re in trouble when your ex-wives team up to bust a legal cap in your ass. That’s the situation in which former Color Me Badd band member Bryan Abrams found himself in as ex Shon Gables hauled his boy-band derriere to court for $16,000 in back child support. Apparently, Abrams has squandered his mini-wealth from the band’s heyday, and is making ends meet working in a tire store in Oklahoma City. (Imagine me raising the Dr. Evil finger to my lips and murmuring, “A singing tire store??”) Gables was joined in court by his second ex, Ashley Abrams, who was there to argue that the former somebody was a no-show when it came to raising his three-year-old son. (No mention on how old his child with Gables is.)
Abrams’ excuse? He didn’t know he had an order of support against him. Um. Yeah. That’s a winning strategy. And do we wonder why he hasn’t had a hit album since the 1990s? No. No, we do not.
