Dad Gets 18 Years for Strangling Crying Son
All of us parents have had to deal with a crying baby. We’ve all felt frustrated - mainly with ourselves - for not being able to soothe our little ones. But most of us can contain our emotions, and step back from our egos long before we reach a breaking point. Sadly, such was not the case with Scott Killingback (no, I didn’t make that last name up). The Australian has received 18 years for strangling his four month old son, Alec Killingback, when the infant just wouldn’t shut up. Killingback pled not guilty, but finally admitted to a “moment of madness” during his attorney’s sentencing plea. The judge was not impressed by this confession delayed.
Even in the wake of the admission, Killingback’s mother still swears to his innocence. That may well be the definition of “sad”.

What a great idea for a blog! Sounds strange, but some nights this is just what I need to read to make me feel like I’m King of the World!
Come to think of it, I could use some of these stories to tell my kids… “Oh yeah, you think I’m mean for not letting you have two desserts?! How about this dad who strangled his son? How’d you like to have HIM as a father, hmmm?”

Sadly, I have a story to trump this - I remember about a dozen years ago, in NYC, a man did exactly the same thing to his baby.
But - here’s the thing - to cover up the death, he and his wife CUT THE BABY UP AND FED IT TO THE DOG.
I wish this were urban legend, but I heard it on whatever news source I was listening to when I first moved to Chicago from New Jersey, ’cause I remember thinking, God, I’m glad I don’t live so close to New York anymore.

I knew this child, and your trivialised comments do him no respect in his death. Making a joke of murder, when you know nothing.

Thanks for the comment, noneofyourbussiness@hotmale.com. Sadly, however, I think my readers and I feel more compassion for this baby than his own father does.

For your info he never changed his plea or admitted to anything.
The jury had a long and tough decision to make seeing as there was no real evidence to show whether the accused or the mother of the child committed this monstrous crime.
Doctors decisions on cause of death even were contradictory. One saying the infant died due to compressions to the neck, the other saying there was no way this could be conclusive and suggested the cause of death was unknown.
The mother was reported to have been neglectful. On one instance when her now 8 year old son was in a walker, she left him on the sundeck to walk himself off while she showered.
Could it be possible that the wrong person has been jailed?
