Dad Abandons Kids in Turkey with No Money

“We will never speak to our father again“. Well, no shit!

Two brothers abandoned by their wayward father on a Turkish holiday have told of their joy to be back home in Teesside today with their relieved mum.

And Joel and Reece Hanrahan today told the Gazette: “We will never speak to our father again.”

Joel, 18, and Reece, 13, are back safe and sound in Middlesbrough after a nightmare holiday after their father Paul Shepherdson, 40, abandoned them without money for food, drink and other essentials.

Mum Jane Hanrahan, 38, who has been separated from Mr Shepherdson for seven years, said she would never let her children see their father again after the torrid past week.

Dad was apparently tossed from the hotel where they were staying for being drunk and abusive, then abandoned the kids to continue his drinking spree. Very nice. I guess that “Father of the Year” award is out of the question, eh?
